Orders placed Monday through Friday before 3:00 pm EST will ship out the day order is placed.

 Orders placed after 3:00 pm EST Monday through Friday will ship out the following business day. Orders placed on Saturday will ship on Monday.



We ship using the US Postal Service, UPS, DHL & FedEx which take 1-5 transit days Monday through Saturday. We also ship certain gifts expedited methods including 2 Business Days, and 1 Business Day. We typically use FedEx Express to ship these packages.


WINE & BEER SHIPPING


All gift baskets containing wine or beer require a signature of an adult over the age of 21 for delivery. Please keep in mind when choosing where the gift basket will be delivered and calculating delivery date. Our shipping carriers will make three attempts to deliver the gift before they return it.

Specialty Baskets Galore will not be responsible for gift baskets where an adult is not available to sign. We advise you to let the recipient know a gift is on its way.

No refund will be issued as a result of your gift basket contain wine or beer being returned to us due to an adult over 21 not being available to sign for the delivery. However, if the gift basket is returned we will be happy to reship it to another location for only the cost of the shipping and handling.


CHOCOLATE & WARM WEATHER

During warm weather months the chocolates contained in the gift baskets must be shipped expedited to avoid melting. If you chose a method other than Next day or 2nd day Air, Specialty Baskets Galore will not be held responsible for damage when the melting occurs. If you gift recipient is not available at the time of delivery, we cannot be responsible for damage that occurs to those gifts having their delivery delayed or items delivered and left unattended in warm weather.


DELIVERIES TO RESIDENTIAL ADDRESSES

Please note that a residential address must include all relevant information, including the door code and the residing person’s full name. It is important to make sure that his/her name appears on the mailbox or the official resident’s name is provided in the order form. Otherwise, the delivery attempt may be unsuccessful.
In case the recipient is not at the address at the time of the delivery, generally, a delivery notice should be left at the recipient’s mailbox specifying the new delivery attempt time and date along with the shipping company’s contact details for more convenience. Normally, three delivery attempts are to be made before the gift is sent to the closest Pick Up point for further collection. Alternatively, the gift may be left at a safe place or with a concierge of the building, but only if the courier considers such option acceptable. It is worth mentioning that, in most cases, re-routing of the gift to an alternative address (e.g. recipient’s office or school) is possible, however, an additional shipping fee may apply.

DELIVERIES TO BUSINESS ADDRESSES

Please note that our couriers are often not allowed into company’s internal offices to deliver gifts directly to recipients, thus, as a rule, the delivery is made to the reception desk of the intended company. Even though these deliveries have a very high success rate, we cannot be held responsible for issues that occur with the gift once it has been delivered to the office reception desk and the company staff fails to pass all items to the intended recipient.
In order to ensure a successful delivery, besides the company’s name, full address, and a contact number, it is advisable to specify the recipient’s department name and his/her position inside the company, if known. Moreover, please make sure the delivery day does not fall on a weekend or a local public holiday, which will push the delivery to the next business day. It is worth mentioning that, in most cases, re-routing of the gift to an alternative address (e.g. residential) is possible, however, an additional shipping fee may apply.

DELIVERIES TO HOTELS

Please note that our couriers are often not allowed into the hotel facility to deliver gifts directly to recipients, thus, as a rule, the gifts are delivered to the reception desk. Even though these deliveries have a very high success rate, we cannot be held responsible for issues that occur with the gift once it has been delivered to the reception and the hotel staff fails to pass all items to the intended recipient.
If delivery goes to a hotel and the recipient is not known there (i.e. the reservation was made not under the recipient’s name but his/her companion), the delivery may be refused and the gift may be sent back to our warehouse. Therefore, we require to know the booking name besides the recipient’s, along with the room number. Moreover, it is important to let us know the recipient’s check-in and check-out dates in order to avoid any confusion in case the delivery must be delayed for reasons beyond our control.
Please note that the delivery procedure may vary depending on the destination country, as well as the hotel and the local shipping company’s internal policies.


DELIVERIES TO HOSPITALS

Please note that our couriers are often not allowed into hospitals to deliver the gifts directly to recipients, thus, depending on the hospital’s internal policy, the packages are delivered either to the administration desk or to the department where all the incoming packages are delivered. Even though these deliveries have a very high success rate, we cannot be held responsible for issues that occur with the gift once it has been delivered to the facility and the hospital staff fails to pass all items to the intended recipient.
It is mandatory to specify whether the recipient works in the hospital (you need to provide the name of the department and the position) or if he/she is a patient there (you need to provide the name of the department and the room number). Please make sure that the gift content is appropriate for the place and the occasion (fruits, chocolates, flowers, etc.) and confirm that the recipient is known in the hospital by the provided name.
Moreover, it is advisable to know the date when your recipient is leaving the hospital in order to avoid any confusion in case the delivery must be delayed for reasons beyond our control. It is worth mentioning that, in most cases, re-routing of the gift to an alternative address (e.g. residential) is possible, however, an additional shipping fee may apply. Please take note that the delivery procedure may vary depending on the destination country, as well as the hospital and local shipping company’s internal policies.


DELIVERIES TO SCHOOLS

It’s easy to send your gifts to teachers or students. Simply enter the name, address, and phone number of your recipient’s school, as well as their classroom number or dorm room number, into the Address field of the order form. Also, please specify in the Comments field whether the recipient is a student or a staff member. You may also wish to look into the school’s policies regarding surprise deliveries to ensure that our delivery does not interrupt class or violate school policy.

Please note that our couriers are often not allowed into these facilities to deliver the gift hamper directly to the recipient. Thus, as a rule, such deliveries will be made to the administration desk or to the appropriate department in accordance with the school’s internal policy. The gift either will be passed onto your recipient or the recipient will be required to collect the gift therefrom. Moreover, as soon as you are notified about the pick up, we recommend that you get in touch with the recipient immediately informing him/her to place to collect the gift(s) from in order to avoid any further related issues. Even though these deliveries have a very high success rate, we cannot always verify that your recipient has received the gift. Therefore, we cannot be held responsible for issues that occur with the gift once it has been delivered to the facility and the school staff fails to pass all items to the intended recipient.
It is important to specify whether the recipient is a student (need to provide the classroom number and the faculty name) or a staff member (need to provide the position and the faculty name). You may also wish to look into the school’s policies regarding surprise deliveries or the content of the gift to ensure that our delivery does not interrupt class or violate school policy. It is worth mentioning that, in most cases, re-routing of the gift to an alternative address (e.g. residential) is possible, however, additional shipping fee may apply. Please take note that the delivery procedure may vary depending on the destination country, school’s and the local shipping company’s internal policies.


DELIVERIES TO CHURCHES/TEMPLES

Please note that in order to ensure a successful delivery, the full name of the church or temple and its full address are needed. Moreover, it is important to specify whether the recipient works in the church (you need to provide the position) or is just visiting for the day of the delivery (you need to provide the name of the occasion, e.g. wedding, mass, funeral). Nevertheless, if our couriers encounter troubles with locating the recipient, the gift may be left with the church staff.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the exact time as deliveries are made using a courier service that has its own schedule of deliveries which we are normally unable to influence. Regardless: we will pass your request to the local courier service, so that if the time requested is possible they will do their best to meet your expectations.
Even though these deliveries have a very high success rate, we cannot always verify that your recipient has received the gift and cannot be held responsible for issues that occur with the gift once it has been delivered to the church or if the recipient is not found at the location at the time of the delivery. It is worth mentioning that, in most cases, re-routing of the gift to an alternative address (e.g. residential) is possible, however, an additional shipping fee may apply.

DELIVERIES TO MILITARY BASES

There are no guarantees for orders shipped to military addresses such as APO or FPOs including how long it will take for the package to arrive or if the package will actually be delivered to the recipient. You place these orders at your own risk. We will provide proof that the package was shipped and do everything we can to insure delivery. To avoid problems with these orders, please make certain that the address you provide is correct and that the person to whom you are shipping actually has a military address. Please ensure the provided address matches the fixed format of personal military address:

Please allow plenty of time for your package to arrive. It will take at least a week and can take up to 6 weeks for delivery to a military address. There is very limited tracking available for shipments to military addresses. Our experience shows that packages shipped to correct addresses are almost always received. But even a small error in an address can cause a package to be either delayed or lost for good.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS OR ADDRESS CORRECTIONS

Please provide us with an accurate and complete shipping address for your recipient. This information needs to include:

Name, Company Name (if applicable), Street Number and Street Name, Floor, Suite, or Apartment Number (if applicable), City, State, Postal Code and Telephone Number.

*We encourage you to verify the address with your recipient before you place your order as we are not responsible for gift baskets not delivered due
to an incorrect or incomplete address provided. 


CHARGES: There is a $16.00 address correction fee per gift basket to reroute a gift after it has left our warehouse. This includes changing the street number, adding an apartment or suite and correcting a postal code. The $16.00 fee is also charged if your gift recipient has moved, you have provided an improper address or any package is refused or rerouted by the recipient.


RETURNS

If you wish to return your gift basket. All Gift baskets should be returned within 5 days of delivery in the original packaging (unopened) for a full refund. We will fully cover the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. Items should be returned in their original product packaging.

We deliver to all major cities and towns of the serviced countries. If you do not see the country you are looking for in the list of serviced locations we can still deliver there from our regional center. Please feel free to contact us if you are unsure whether we service specific location.


DELIVERY STATUS NOTIFICATION

It is easy to inquire as to the status of any existing order by contacting us by email, mail, or by telephone. Please have your order number on hand for quick service. If we have any difficulties with your order, we will contact you by telephone and/or e-mail.
Please allow us a minimum of 2 business days to process your order for 
gift delivery to a chosen destination.
In many countries however, we do offer 
next-day delivery. Please see list of serviced countries to send Gift Internationally for a specific information regarding time it takes to deliver.
We cannot guarantee deliveries on Sundays or on legal holidays, so please make sure that your order information is accurate and complete in order to avoid any delays in delivery.


GIFT DELIVERY TIMES

Our deliveries are typically made throughout the day, into the evening hours. We can deliver as early as 9:00 am or as late as 10:00 pm. However, we are currently unable to guarantee gift delivery requests for a specific time or for a certain time period. We can certainly take requests for a morning or an evening delivery, but at this time we can’t guarantee a delivery time. Stick with us! We’ll keep you posted! Here’s how we schedule deliveries: we will call your intended recipient first in order to arrange a delivery time. If the recipient is not at home at the time of delivery, we will either:

  • Leave the gift basket with a neighbor and attach a note to your recipient’s door stating the name of the person who accepted the arrangement on their behalf, or
  • Leave a note on your recipient’s door asking them to call our florist’s shop to arrange the most convenient time for re-delivery.

If your intended recipient is going to be at work on the day of your scheduled delivery, may we suggest sending the arrangement to the workplace. Please keep in mind: an incomplete or incorrect address or phone number may delay delivery.


GUARANTEED DELIVERY DAYS

Shipments are guaranteed* for Ground, Overnight and Saturday deliveries. If our delivery courier misses the delivery then we will refund the shipping on your gift. Please know that if the recipient is not home (or at the provided address) and was unable to receive the package, this does not qualify as our courier missing the delivery. Also, circumstances beyond our control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, COVID-19 lockdowns & delays, strikes, and so forth void the delivery guarantee.

Please note that specified per country delivery applies to orders placed by 10 am local time with all necessary address information. During the months of November & December delivery times cannot be guaranteed due to the increase in carrier volume.


CALLING RECIPIENT TO ARRANGE DELIVERY

We normally require a recipient’s phone number to ensure a smooth delivery. The calls are normally made in the case when delivery is made by a local courier and to ensure that the recipient is home at the time of scheduled delivery.
Please note however
: in some cases we don’t need to call the recipient (when order is handled by a 3rd party shipper such as DHL, FedEx, UPS or others). They have their own address verification requirements & procedures, which we have no control over.


DELIVERY ATTEMPTS

Please note that delivery is attempted by a local courier. In case of unsuccessful delivery due to the recipient’s absence, the gift may be left at the local post office where it can be later collected by the recipient (a note will be left at the recipients’ door).
Please note: we can’t be held responsible if the recipient fails to collect the gift within 2 business days of the attempted delivery date, which will result in the gift contents being spoiled and discarded.
A signature of a 21+ years old person is required upon alcohol gift delivery. The gift containing alcohol can not be left at the door and delivery will be reattempted, if nobody 21+ is found home at the time of the initial delivery attempt. By purchasing this gift you confirm that you are at least 21 years old and the intended gift recipient is at least 21 years old.


INCORRECT DELIVERY INFORMATION

If delivery could not be done because of an incorrectly specified recipient’s address (and correct phone number of a recipient was not provided), SpecialtyBasketsGalore.com will not be responsible for delivery delays or failure, therefore no refund will be allowed.
Most of our orders are handled by a 3rd party shipper such as DHL, FedEx, UPS or others, so whenever the address is incorrect: updates in their systems & rerouting may potentially delay delivery by 1-3 business days OR lead to a complete delivery failure (when the product shelf life no longer allows for delivery delay).
We therefore highly recommend you to double check the address & specify a working recipient’s phone number to ensure timely delivery.

If recipient is moved away or is unable to receive the gift at the location within 2 business days after attempted delivery: the shipment will be returned or destroyed, so no refund will be possible.


TRANSACTION VERIFICATION

Each order must undergo a detailed verification to ensure that transaction is secure and to protect your financial information.
If we are unable to reach you or you fail to provide a required information in a timely manner: your order may be delayed.
Please note: your order will not be shipped until your financial information is verified by our anti-fraud team.


HOLIDAY DELIVERY INFORMATION

Due to our increased volume of floral and gift orders being delivered during peak holiday periods, most gift delivery agents require flexible delivery dates during these times. For this reason we cannot offer same-day or next-day delivery during the following major floral holiday periods: Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Mother’s Day, New Year’s Eve, or Easter.



GIFT PACKAGING & CONTAINERS

Gift packaging type varies based on delivery location and season. Gifts may arrive in a traditional gift basket, box or a chest (all subject to regional availability) and carton-packed for shipping (when required). Sometimes filler and protective packaging in gifts may look different from images shown, but is always the highest quality option that is regionally available to protect your gift during shipping. We reserve the right to substitute the basket type, bow & wrap color at the local designer’s discretion and holiday theme.

MULTIPLE GIFTS TO THE SAME ADDRESS

If you have ordered more than one gift to the same address, it is possible that the gifts will not be shipped from the same fulfillment offices (or warehouses). Therefore items may arrive in separate boxes or at different times. We will do our best to match the arrival time for all the items in your order, but we are unable to guarantee that all items will arrive at the exact same time; however we can guarantee that your gifts will arrive by delivery date requested. Please be assured: you won’t be responsible for shipping charges if the items ship separately.


SUBSTITUTION POLICY

Occasionally minor substitutions can be made to your gift baskets due to product unavailability for urgent orders OR orders sent to remote locations. Please review our Gift Substitution Policy to learn more.


CANCELLATION POLICY

Whereas we do not cancel orders without a good reason, if a cancellation is approved by Management, our company may have to charge a cancellation fee to cover administrative costs. We do not accept cancellations under any circumstances once the gift has been shipped. Gift Certificate cancellation is not possible once the physical gift certificate has been shipped or the service has been paid at the salon. In case of cancellation of certificate order refund is possible only in the form of store credit.
